Originally from England, Dr. Stephen has practiced veterinary medicine for 16 years; most of that time in Manitoba. He graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 2007. Since then, he has worked in a variety of areas including large, small and exotic animal medicine and surgery. Currently, his focus is on small animal practice, but he also spends some time working with horses, smaller farm animals like goats, pigs and sheep, as well as exotic species including birds, reptiles and pocket pets.
Dr Stephen also has a PhD in wildlife biology and has been a wildlife research biologist for 33 years. When not working at the clinic, he spends time working on his research on Arctic wildlife; mostly polar bears and caribou. Dr. Stephen lives near Birdshill Park with his wife and 2 daughters plus 3 dogs, 4 horses, a cat and a pot-bellied pig named Pax.
